Farris John Farris wanted a home that looked like it had years of stories to tell. Although the lot was low and flood prone, John wanted the home to look like it is part of the land, not hovering above it like many beach cottages. We built retaining walls and brought in fill to create a back yard that will terrace down to the water. We varied exterior materials on rooms to make them appear to be covered porches enclosed by past owners. The result is a home that feels like an old home but has the livability of a modern house. |
